About HangFive

HangFive is a small, US-run store that does one thing at a time. Right now that one thing is a five-tier pants hanger, because the problem it solves — one closet, one rod, too many jeans — is the problem we wanted solved ourselves.

We're not a warehouse brand with a catalog. We pick one product, get the actual unit in hand, and test it before we say anything about it. That's the whole operating principle, and it's easiest to show rather than explain:

Before we published a single strength claim, we loaded our own hanger with five pairs of heavy denim — about 7 pounds — and left it hanging overnight. It held. Under that full load the frame stretches an inch or two, then springs back to its exact shape when you unload it, with zero permanent set. So that's what the product page says. Our earlier copy said the frame "will not bend or sag" — and when our own test showed it does flex under a full load before springing back, we rewrote the page to match the test. If a claim doesn't survive our own bench, it doesn't go on the site.

Same rule for the small stuff. The dimensions on the product page — 16 inches tall, 13.5 wide, about 205 grams — come from our tape measure and our scale, not from a supplier spreadsheet. When the supplier's listed specs didn't match the unit in our hands, we threw out the supplier's numbers.

What you should expect from us: plain answers about what the hanger does and doesn't do — including the limits, which are on the page too. Free 30-day returns if it's not right for your closet. And a straight reply if you email us with a question we haven't tested yet: we'll say "we haven't tested that," and then usually go test it.

One product, tested claims, no filler. That's the store.
